PURPOSE: A method of fabricating a liquid crystal display panel is provided to fabricate a liquid crystal display panel through a minimized number of fabrication steps and to form a color filter on a substrate on which a thin film transistor array is formed. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of gate lines(21) are formed on the first substrate having an active region configured of a plurality of unit pixel regions. A thin film transistor(23) is formed at each of the unit pixel regions of the active region, and a plurality of data lines(22) are formed intersecting the gate lines. A pixel electrode is connected with the thin film transistor. A color filter layer(29) is formed on the pixel electrode. A light-shielding layer is formed on a region other than the pixel regions.
