APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TESTING INTERLAYER SHORT STATUS OF ROTOR IN POWER GENERATOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus for testing an interlayer short status of a rotor in a power generator is provided to prevent an unexpected disorder and detect an abnormal status by testing whether an interlayer of a winding in a rotor. CONSTITUTION: A sensor(10) detects whether a rotor winding of a power generator is in a short status and output corresponding data. A signal conditioner(21) amplifies and interfaces the data from the sensor(10). A digital signal processor(22) converts analog signal from the signal conditioner(21) into a digital signal. A system controller(23) judges a voltage by rotor windings of a power generator and a short status according to the digital signal from the digital signal processor(22) and outputs a screen display control signal. A display device(30) displays a voltage waveform of each pole by rotor windings and the short status according to the screen display control signal from the system controller(23).
