MULTI-BEAM SCANNER

摘要

PURPOSE: A multi-beam scanner is provided to enable color printing by using a single rotary polygon mirror and a plurality of laser beam sources. CONSTITUTION: A multi-beam scanner includes a rotary polygon mirror and a plurality of laser beam emitting units(30a). The rotary polygon mirror deflects an incident laser beam. The plurality of laser beam emitting units project the laser beam for reflecting faces of the polygon mirror. The multi-beam scanner further has a plurality of means(50a,50d) for allowing the laser beams deflected at the faces of the polygon mirror to pass through the same optical axis. The plurality of means respectively correspond to the plurality of laser beam emitting units and are constructed of a plurality of reflection mirrors. The multi-beam scanner also has a plurality of bow removal means(60a) for removing bow of each of the laser beam that passed the plurality of means and forming a focal point on the surface of a photosensitive medium.
