PURPOSE: Provided are a mutant AC5/-transformed animal in which D2 dopamine receptor system is damaged while D1 dopamine receptor system functions completely by genetic mutation, a method for producing the same, and a use thereof. CONSTITUTION: The AC5/-transformed animal has a deletion of type 5-adenylyl cyclase. In the AC5-/transformed animal, D2 dopamine receptor system is damaged while D1 dopamine receptor system functions completely by genetic mutation. The transformed animal has a genetic mutation of AC5 gene in genome. The AC5-/transformed animal is useful to identify pharmacological and physiological effects of antipsychotic agents in basal ganglia system, and further identify a mechanism of irreversible side-effect due to longterm administration of the antipsychotic agents.
