FED DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An FED(Field Emission Display) device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to prevent a short-circuit phenomenon by inserting a resistance layer between a cathode electrode and a focusing electrode. CONSTITUTION: A cathode electrode(32) of a stripe shape is formed to a vertical direction on a rear substrate(30). A resistance layer(44) is formed on an overall face of the rear substrate(30). A gate electrode(36) is formed to an orthogonal direction of the cathode electrode(32). The gate electrode(36) is insulated by a gate insulating layer. An emitter hole(38) is formed on an overlapped portion of the gate electrode(36) and the cathode electrode(32). An emitter tip is formed on the resistance layer(44) exposed by the emitter hole(38). A focusing electrode(46) is formed on a space between the gate electrode(36) and the cathode electrode(32). The focusing electrode(46) is contacted with the resistance layer(44).
