PURPOSE: A method and a system for inserting and extracting a watermark for multichannel digital music are provided to directly insert the watermark without converting the time domain into the frequency domain to enable real-tim watermark processing. CONSTITUTION: A digital audio watermark inserting system includes a watermark generator, a channel separator(202), a channel similarity measuring unit(203), and a watermark summing unit. The watermark generator converts a watermark to be inserted into a multichannel digital audio signal into a bit stream. The channel separator separates multiple channels constructing the digital audio signal from one another. The channel similarity measuring unit calculates similarity among the multiple channels in the time domain and compares the similarity with a predetermined critical value. The watermark summing unit inserts the watermark into one of the first and second channels constructing the digital audio signal and inserts the watermark into the other channel, having the other channel as the original channel, when the similarity is larger than the critical value. |
