PURPOSE: An FED device is provided to obtain high luminance by forming a crossing hole for exposing a metal bus electrode on a crossing region between a cathode electrode and a gate electrode. CONSTITUTION: An anode electrode and a fluorescent material are laminated on an upper glass substrate. A field emission array is formed on a lower glass substrate. The field emission array has a cathode electrode(30), a gate insulating layer(34), a metal bus electrode(35), a gate electrode(36), and a cross hole(15). The cathode electrode(30) is formed on the lower glass substrate. The gate insulating layer(34) is formed on the cathode electrode(30). The metal bus electrode(35) is formed to cover an upper portion of the gate insulating layer(34). The gate electrode(36) is formed parallel to the gate insulating layer(34). The cross hole(15) is formed on the gate electrode(36) in order to expose the metal bus electrode(35).
