PURPOSE: A system and a method for offering information are provided to promptly and conveniently offer differentiated information corresponding to the characteristics of users by reorganizing and processing information when users are connected through a network. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a first database(132) storing a type index indicating the characteristics of clients corresponding to ID(Identification) numbers of the clients, a second database(133) storing contents corresponding to the type index, and a processing server(14) deciding type information based on the ID numbers and offering the contents by editing corresponding to the type information. The processing server includes a characteristic analyzing unit(143) measuring the behavior patterns of clients and a type determining unit(144) determining the type of the clients corresponding to the behavior patterns. The behavior patterns are stored in a third database, and the type information is stored in a fourth database. The type determining unit determines the type of a client by comparing the behavior pattern of the third database with the type information of the fourth database.
