<p>The invention can be used for the motor building industry. The inventive operational mode for an internal combustion engine consists in delivering an oxidant-fuel mixture having the oxidant-to-fuel ratio alpha > 0.8 into the swept volume of said internal combustion engine, compressing the mixture until autoignition and combustion thereby producing combustion products and performing mechanical work. The oxidant and fuel are delivered into the swept volume separately and or simultaneously. Afterwards, a combustible charge separate from the oxidant or mixed therewith is delivered. Said combustible charge consists of water or water steam, additives, the combustion products and /or a fuel having another composition and phase, and/or a fuel (fuels) and/or oxidant (oxidants) mixture. The second variant for performing the inventive method is also disclosed. The invention increases the efficiency factor and the engine power, reduces a level of waste gases, the heat loading and the mechanical loading.</p> |
