<p>The invention relates to a method of parallel transmission of data files from computers in a computer packet network and storage of said data files in a backup system connected to said network. The method comprises the steps of establishing connections between at least two backup application agents of at least two computers and teh backup managing means of said bckup system, parallel transmission of data files from at least one computer with some form of identification from said at least one backup application agent to said backup managing means, and storage of said data files in one or more databases of said backup system.
