<p>A work support for supporting a workpiece with a major axis of the workpiece extending outwardly of the work support, for example at least substantially horizontally, the work support comprising work holding means (20) for holding an end portion of the workpiece and mounting means (50) for the work holding means. The work support may be used for a variety of purposes but it is especially useful for supporting a length of stiff material during the carrying out of one or more operations upon it.</p> |
