A method for recovering an amine entrained by carbon dioxide in a decarboxylation process for removing carbon dioxide from a gas containing carbon dioxide by the use of an absorbing liquid material containing an amine, wherein the section of washing with water is divided into the first washing section (64) and the second washing section (65) and an amine compound contained in a decarboxylated flue gas is sequentially recovered in the washing sections, wherein a part of the reflux water from a regeneration tower is supplied to the second washing section (65) as washing water and the washing water withdrawn from the second washing section (65) is supplied to the first washing section (64), and wherein Demisters (83), (84) and (85) are provided at the exits of a carbon dioxide absorbing section (73), the first washing section (64) and the second washing section (65), respectively, to thereby remove absorbing water mist and washing water mist. The method allows the recovery of the above amine with good efficiency.
