The mobile partition comprises a center ply (2) sandwiched between cover layers (3,4) which can be flexibly brought into a curved shape deviating from the vertical plane. The partition has an inlay of bendable material imparting form-stability to the preshaped partition. The inlay forms at least a part of the center ply and may form the center ply itself with direct connection to the cover layers. The inlay may be formed from a metal plate or may consist of at least one metal strip extending over the width of the partition.
