Bandgap reference voltage circuit for semiconductor chip uses 2 superimposed partial currents with opposing temperature dependencies

The circuit provides 2 partial currents with opposing temperature dependencies which are superimposed on one another before conversion into the reference voltage. A difference amplifier with 2 lateral bipolar transistors (BJT1,BJT2) having different area active surfaces is used for providing one partial current, the other partial current provided by a resistance (R0) connected between the common node (CN) of the difference amplifier and earth.
