The present inventon relates to a device (10) for use in a manhole or simila r structure, whereby the device is designed to filter contaminate gas typicall y found in such structure. More particularly, the device includes a canister member (12) filled with filtration media, a skirt member (40) designed to direct contaminate gas towards the canister (12), and a support member (18) for holding the canister in place.
