Coating compositon comprising one or more compounds having functional groups which are reactive to olefinically unsaturated bonds, and a citraconimide functional compound, e.g., benzyl citraconimide, octyl citraconimide, or methoxypropyl citraconimide and/or an itaconimide functional compound as a reactive diluent. The reactive diluents are particularly suitable for use in oxidatively drying coating compositions, such as alkyd based coatings, or coating compositions which are curable by radical copolymerization.
