The present invention relates to a spike (1), for supplying a fluid from a pipe (2) to a nutrient medium, such as a substrate, which spike (1) comprises a pin-shaped body, which at a first end is providcd with an opening for attaching a pipe (2) and at the other end tapers to form a piercing element at that end, the spike (1) comprising a knife-shaped member (22) that is placed in the movement path of the fluid, in order to distribute fluid over the walls of the body, the aperture for attaching the pipe (2) connecting to a channel or chamber (11) for receiving fluid in it, which chamber (11) comprises an outflow aperture (14) for dispensing fluid, and a guide wall (20) being provided near the outflow aperture (14), in order to guide the fluid from the outflow aperture (14) of the channel or chamber (11) in the direction of the knife-shaped member (22). <IMAGE> |
