<p>A washing machine (1) comprises a basic structure (2) inside which is mounted a tub (5) having a substantially axially symmetrical shape with respect to an axis (6) inclined to a horizontal axis (8). A drum (10) for holding the laundry is mounted coaxially inside the tub (5) and is rotatable about the axis (6). The tub (5) and the drum (10) define an oscillating unit (3) mounted inside the basic structure (2), suspended between two shock-absorbers (13) operatively connected to a base (14) of the basic structure (2) and two resilient suspension components (18) which restrain the tub (5) at the top. Both the shock-absorbers (13) and the resilient suspension components (18) are mounted on the tub (5) at points lying in a vertical plane (15) perpendicular to the horizontal axis (8) and extending through the centre of gravity of the oscillating unit (3). <IMAGE></p> |
