The saddle cover (12) includes a number of independent air-chambers. Near the saddle-strap and or seat is a double layer of air compartments (7,9;8,10). In the inter-connected air compartments (1,3,5;2,4,6) in an underneath layer facing the horse's back, near the double layer, is a top layer of interconnected air chambers facing the saddle. The top layer is shorter than the bottom layer.
