PURPOSE: A method for studying a language by repetitive listening of a sentence and a recording medium therefor are provided to repetitively play a sentence of a foreign language, to improve an efficiency in the study of a foreign language, and to enable a studying person to select a repetition menu according to a taste or a studying degree. CONSTITUTION: Sentences are arranged and displayed and a desired repetition mode is selected(S10). If an entire repetition mode is selected(S12), wave files corresponding to the sentences are sequentially read and the entire repetition mode is performed to repetitively play the read wave files(S20). If an infinite repetition mode is selected(S14), wave files corresponding selected sentences are read and the infinite repetition mode is performed to repetitively play the read wave files(S30). If a sentence repetition mode is selected(S16), a wave file corresponding to the sentence is read and the sentence repetition mode is performed to play the read wave file at designated frequencies(S40). If a block repetition mode is selected(S18), the block repetition mode is performed to repetitively play a part of a currently read wave file(S50).
