HEAD MOUNTABLE DISPLAY DEVICE

A monocular HMD that is a head-mounted image display device consists mainly of a viewer (1), an arm (2), and a headband (3). An image display LCD (67), an image prism (14), and a see-through prism (15) are incorporated in the viewer. The arm bears the viewer so that the viewer can pivot, and has a compound circuit board (51) for extending control incorporated therein. The headband bears the arm so that the arm can rotate on a ball (34), and can be worn on the head. The compound circuit board includes a plurality of rigid substrates and a plurality of FPCs. The compound circuit board is placed obliquely in conformity with the outline of the arm and will not restrict the shape of the arm. <IMAGE>
