<p>A method for preparing a sintered sprocket which comprises subjecting an iron base sintered alloy, which contains, in wt %, 0.2 to 0.5 % of C, 0.2 to 1.0 of Mo, 0.2 to 1.0 of Ni, and exhibits a metal structure wherein an inner base layer contains ferrite and bainite and the ferrite is present in the vicinity of a pore, to forming of rod and then to carburizing and quenching. The method allows the improvement of bearing resistance characteristics with no use of forging process.</p> |
