Method for the application of visually readable information on card-shaped data carrier

Card has transparent overlay foil with surface relief in form of cylindrical lenticular screen covering laser sensitive substrate. Optical device, made of plastic or glass in negative form of lens structure or a liquid, is placed on surface relief of overlay to compensate for lens effect of relief during laser writing. Laser writing is performed through the optical device and then optical device is removed. Card surface relief allows information to be viewed from different angles.
