<p>A pneumatic radial tire having an aspect ratio of not more than 60% comprises at least one carcass ply (5) composed of a main body portion (5a) and a turn-up portion (5b), a stiffener (7) made of a soft rubber stock (7b) and a hard rubber stock (7a), and a reinforcing member (9) extending at an outside of the turn-up portion (5b) in a widthwise direction of the tire through a cushion rubber (8), wherein at an inflation state of the tire under a given air pressure, the height (h) of the outer end (5c) of the turn-up portion (5b) in the radial direction is not more than 0.33 times a section height (H) of the carcass ply (5), and a thickness ratio (d2/d1) is within a range of 1.2-1.8. <IMAGE></p> |
