The collapsible bicycle has pedals (7) which to increase propulsion effectiveness and to improve riding quality are constructed as elongated plates. The segments (6) of the drive (5) for the drive wheels (4) are constructed on the rear ends of the pedals and orientated upwards with regard to the surfaces of the pedals. For maximum pedal extension the front frame section is in circle segment form and located concentrically with regard to the front wheel axle. The forward pedal ends are fastened to the front frame section.
