摘要 PURPOSE: A gas sensor and method for manufacturing the same is provided to obtain a gas sensor having a superior sensitivity and selectivity with respect to carbon monoxide(CO) gas. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing gas sensor comprises a first step of forming a CO gas sensor layer by using a CO gas sensing material; and a second step of laminating an anode and a cathode to both side surfaces of the gas sensor layer. The gas sensor layer is formed by adding CuO of 0.001 to 20 mole percent to Zn2SnO4 sintered body which is obtained by drying, heat-treating and shaping the mixture of ZnO powder and SnO2 powder mixed at 2:1 mole ratio, and performing heat treatment to the Zn2SnO4 sintered body where CuO is added. A gas sensor comprises a gas sensor layer, and an anode and a cathode laminated to both side surfaces of the gas sensor layer. The gas sensor layer is formed by adding CuO to Zn2SnO4.
