A direct methanol low-temperature fuel cell (6) is integrated in a hearing aid (1). A fuel container is allocated to the fuel cell for retaining a fuel reservoir required for operating the fuel cell. The fuel cell and the fuel container form a fuel cell unit (6,8). The fuel container is refillable.
