PURPOSE: A folding mobile communication device and an automatic originating method are provided to select a desired origination place among a plurality of memory dials and dial a telephone number corresponding to the origination place by a certain origination operation. CONSTITUTION: If an opening state of a folding communication terminal is detected by the output of an opening and closing switch, the control unit calls an origination process sub-routine. The control unit judges whether a memory dial is called and is displayed on a sub-display(S100). If the memory dial is displayed on the sub-display, the control unit originates the displayed memory dial(S101).
