摘要 PURPOSE: A flat panel display using a substrate with low transparency is provided to manufacture a light-emitting display device or a reflection type liquid crystal display using a substrate with low transparency or an opaque substrate as a lower substrate to reduce manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: A flat panel display includes the first substrate(110), a gate line and a data line that are formed on the first substrate and intersect each other, and a thin film transistor connected to the gate line and the data line. The display further includes a pixel electrode(181) that is formed at a pixel region defined by the gate line and the data line, connected to the thin film transistor and reflects lights, the second transparent substrate(210) having a predetermined distance from the first substrate, and a black matrix(220) formed on the inner side of the second substrate. The display also has a color filter(230) formed beneath the black matrix, a transparent electrode that is formed under the color filter and generates electric field together with the pixel electrode, and a liquid crystal layer(300) filled between the pixel electrode and the transparent electrode. The transparency of the first substrate is lower than the transparency of the second substrate.
