The micro-organisms destruction procedure involves the application of low energy electrical pulses to reduced or eliminate the quantity of bacteria present in liquid media, such as fecal fluids, mud, quantity of bacteria present in liquid or semi-liquid foods and including solids. The electrical pulses are at frequencies which induce the lysis and breakage of cellular membranes of the bacteria, without the formation of dangerous sub-products. The electrical pulses are between 3 and 330 volts alternating current, with alternation frequencies between 3 and 8000 Hz and with an interval of 0.12 to 5 seconds between pulses.
