Method for time synchronisation of the local real-time counters of a main unit U1 and an auxiliary unit U2, capable of communicating messages with each other, wherein the method involves sending of a synchronisation message SM1 by the main unit U1 to the auxiliary unit U2 and registration of the real-time counting value a1 of the main unit at the instant of sending of said message, reception of the synchronisation message SM1 by the auxiliary unit U2 and registration of the real-time counting value a2 of the auxiliary unit U2 at the instant of reception of said message. The value of the real-time counter of the auxiliary unit is corrected according to the invention if the difference between the real-time counting values for reception a2 and sending a1 of the synchronisation message SM1 is less than a predetermined threshold value, so that said difference is equal to a predetermined value.
