The invention relates to a process for manufacturing hollow castings, especially a leading-in insulator for high voltage conductors, wherein a liquid casting material is introduced into a hollow-casting mould that is driven in rotation, and which is heated before the introduction of the casting material, the casting mould filled with casting material is driven in rotation until a substantially solid casting is formed, said casting is then removed from the casting mould, where a hollow fabric has been introduced first concentrically to the axis of rotation of the mould, the cylindrical fabric having a flexure strength degree lower or approximately equal to the casting flexure strength degree and the heating up temperature of the casting mould being higher than the plasticizing temperature of the casting material.
