The invention relates to an electromechanical gas stove control timer using a programmable plug for a single PEM-24 h- type circuit suitably adapted for simultaneous programmed closing of four burner rings, with a maximum programming time of 24 /n h.The installation is conceived as an attachment to an ordinary gas stove, being fastenable by screws to the grid thereof, having the shape of a plate with four electromechanical modules with electromagnetically driven toothed wheel (9) with ratchet (10), the toothed wheel presenting a cut -out for inserting therethrough the drive side of the gas stove knob which is closed by the rotation of the toothed wheel driven by the elastic force of a spring, upon the programmed or casual switching off of the electromagnet, the moment being signalled sonorously by a bell (5). Upon the expiration of the maximum programmed time, the installation is switched off automatically, according to the initial programming of the programmable plug PEM 24h. The electric power consumption is reduced being of maximum 20 W for a maximum programmed time of 6 h.
