<p>A microbicidal, non-abrasive composition of pH above 9, or below 5, comprises: (a) 0.15-15 wt.% an optionally substituted aromatic alcohol(s) or phenol(s), other than phenol per se, of formula: HO.R1.Aryl(R2)n (I); and (b) 0.1-30 wt.% an ethoxylated alkanol nonionic surfactant with an HLB of 9-14 or an amine oxide. In (I), R1 = absent or 1-6C alkyl, alkenyl or alkoxy; R2 = absent or ring substituent(s) of 1-6C alkyl, alkenyl or alkoxy; and n = 0-5.</p> |
