The invention relates to a handrail of an escalator or moving walkway. A surface layer (6) is adhered to or coated to the outer surface of the handrail body (5). The surface layer (6) can be separately formed with material such as different shape or different character and also may have a pattern and color. With this structure, the sight effect of the handrail may be changed, so that the demand for appearance of the handrail can be reduced during manufacture, resulting in a much easier manufacture. The replaceability of the surface layer (6) provides the possibility of embellishing the surface defects of the handrail and beautifying the running environment during use of the handrail. |
