Preparation of 2-(2,4-difluoro-phenyl)-1-(1,H-1,2,4-triazol-1- il)-2,3-epoxy-propane (I) and its salts obtained by the addition of acid is new. (I) is produced by the reaction of 1-(2,4-difluoro-benzoyl- methyl)-1,2,4-triazol or its salts obtained by the addition of acid and trimethyl-sulfonium-halide in the presence of aqueous solution of alkali metal hydroxide, phase transfer catalyst and organic solvent. The organic solvent may be a halogenated alkane or aromatic hydrocarbon. The reaction is carried out at 10-45 deg.C. |
