The invention relates to a gas lighter provided with a children safety device. A firing mechanism of said gas lighter is linked to a means for neutralising a spark formation. In the first embodiment, the inventive gas lighter comprises a gear wheel rigidly connected to a shaft which is arranged in such a way that it can rotate in the bores of shoulder pieces of a body, and riffled wheels mounted on the shaft on both sides of the gear wheel. Each riffled wheel is provided with a central hole and mounted on the shaft in such a way that it is rotatable. At least one riffled wheel is provided with two bosses which are radially directed along the diameter of the central hole. The shaft is provided with two bosses which are arranged in the area of the riffled wheel between the bosses thereof and directed along the shaft diameter. In the second embodiment, the shaft is embodied in a cylindrical form in the area of the riffled wheel which is mounted in such a way that it can clearly rotate, the other riffled wheel being rigidly connected to the shaft and embodied together therewith. |
