The invention relates to a chair comprising a seat (10), which is at least partially filled with an elastic padding material (1), and/or comprising a chair back (11) that is also filled in such a manner. A padded support, which can be adapted in a versatile manner, is obtained by virtue of the fact that the padding material (1) is accommodated inside an air-tight enclosure (3), which has an opening (2) that can be closed in an air-tight manner. In addition, the enclosure (3) can be expanded in size due to the elasticity of the porous padding material (1) that has air pockets, whereby air is sucked into the enclosure when the opening (2) is not closed, and the enclosure can be decreased in size by applying external pressure thereon thereby forcing air out of the enclosure. |
