The invention relates to a method for filling containers (2) with bar-shaped articles in the tobacco industry. Said method comprises the following steps: the containers are guided along a filling line (6), the articles are advanced towards the filling line, the containers are filled during the journey along the filling line. The invention is characterised in that the articles are introduced into the container in a continuous mass flow. Said method is also reversible: the inventive method and corresponding device can be used for emptying the containers. The invention also relates to a container for transporting bar-shaped articles in the tobacco industry, whereby the container comprises a non-liftable base (66). The invention is also characterised in that the base is at least partially displaceable with respect to the container. |
