testing power systems of flying vehicles, mainly small-sized controllable projectiles. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is based on measurement of time lag of actuator or autopilot in furnishing rectangular signals to inputs of their channels. The data on present angle of turn of control surface is read off at this. Frequency and amplitude of signals are selected as high as possible for operation of control surfaces from stop to stop. Signal obtained from generator output are converted into two periodic sequences fed to inputs of control channel of operating actuator or autopilot and to counting unit input. According to signal of turn of control surfaces, output pulse signals are formed whose leading edges correspond to moments of coming of actuators to both stops. Counting unit measures intervals between pulses. When no control signals are furnished to inputs, amplitude of self-excited oscillations and drift of zero position are determined from output of rate-of turn sensor. Measured parameters are compared with preset ones to determined quality of functioning of actuator or autopilot. Device used for realization of this method includes rectangular pulse signal generator, frequency meter, triggering and stop pulse shapers of frequency meter counter for each of two control channels of actuator and autopilot, control console, electric power and pneumatic power sources and other components.
