PURPOSE: A bumper cover assembly for a sport utility vehicle is provided to secure adequately a rigidity of a side portion of a bumper by installing a strength reinforcement blanket at the side portion of the bumper. CONSTITUTION: A bumper cover assembly for a sport utility vehicle reinforces a side portion of a bumper cover(1) by a side portion plate(2). The bumper cover(1) and the side portion plate(2) are supported by a lower blanket(3). The lower blanket(3) supports the side portion plate(2) and has a flange(4) for supporting a side portion of the bumper cover(1). The blanket(3) is supported in 3 points at a vehicle body by a coupling member. The blanket(3) has a thickness of about 2 millimeters, and is extended from the flange(4) to the lower portion of the bumper case.
