PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data duplication utilization system, a data duplication utilization method or the like for realizing the proper duplication of data. SOLUTION: When an operator instructs recording of data, object data to be recorded on a CD-R 3 are supplied to an encryption part 12. The encryption part 12 encrypts the data by using an encryption key, and encrypted data are recorded on the CD-R 3 by a CD-R drive 13. The encryption key is stored into a semiconductor memory 4. When the CD-R 3 is set in the CD drive 21 of a CD player 2, the semiconductor memory 4 is set in a slot 22 for semiconductor memory and the operator instructs the reproduction of data, the CD drive 21 reads the encrypted data from the CD-R 3, and a decryption part 23 decrypts the data by using the encryption key stored in the semiconductor memory 4. Then, a sound or the like which the decrypted data represents is reproduced.
