<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of reducing power consumption by automatically controlling brightness darker with the lapse of time. SOLUTION: After the end of an operation from an input operation part, the brightness of a liquid crystal display screen is gradually darker with the lapse of time as shown by L1-L4, therefore, the power consumption of backlight can be reduced as compared to conventional method by which the brightness is changed stepwise from B0 to B=0 at the time of a timer setting timeΔt. Moreover, even when the setting timeΔt is prolonged, the power consumption can effiently be reduced. Further, since the setting timeΔt can be prolonged, it is unnecessary to frequently operate an input operation part conventionally in dread of that the liquid crystal display is turned off.</p> |
