PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope, which allows the movement of a moving optical system relative to the optical axis of an objective optical system, without increasing the length of rigid portion at a front end and, without increasing the cost, and perform with high precision. SOLUTION: A moving lens frame 35 arranged in a through-hole 32a is provided with a shank 35c, which projects through a notched part 32b to the outer side from the outside surface of a second stationary lens frame 32. The shank 35c is adapted to be arranged with a wire-receiving member 41. The end of a control wire 43 for moving the moving lens frame 35 along the optical axis of an objective unit 30 is fixed integrally through soldering or the like to the wire-receiving member 41. The wire-receiving member 41 is provided with a guide part 41b for regulating the control wire 43 approximately parallel to the optical axis direction. A holding member 45 of the guide part 41b, holding a wire guide pipe 44 into which the control wire 43 is inserted, is screwed and is fixed to a projecting part 32d, so as to be set coaxial with the wire- receiving member 41.
