PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk unit in which a tray is inserted/withdrawn to/from a chassis with a simpler mechanism than a conventional mechanism where its tray is inserted/extracted to/from its chassis through a reciprocating motion. SOLUTION: The disk unit is configured such that a pivot section 2 is provided in the vicinity of an edge of a tray insertion/extract opening 11 and a corner of the tray formed nearly sectorial in a plane view is turnably pivoted to the pivot section 2. The tray formed nearly sectorial is turned around the pivot section 2 as a fulcrum, and thereby the tray is turnably inserted/extracted to/from the opening 11 so as to insert/extract the disk on the tray 11 to/from the chassis 1 for the change of the disk.
