摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the layer structure and to decrease the number of film forming processes in a reflection type or semitransmission type liquid crystal display device in which a scattering layer and a reflection layer are separately formed. SOLUTION: An upper transparent resin substrate 21 and a lower resin substrate 22 each formed by integrating a wavy layer with a substrate to obtain the light condensing property equal to that of a glass substrate and to simplify the multilayered structure are used. A transparent resin having a different refractive index from that of the upper transparent resin substrate 21 is applied to fill the wavy surface of the substrate to form a flattening layer 6a having a flat surface in the liquid crystal layer side. A reflection film is applied all over the wavy face of the lower resin substrate 22 to form a reflection layer 8 having a wavy scattering reflection surface. A transparent resin is applied on the wavy face of the reflection layer 8 to form a flattened layer 6b.
