PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact storage disk player with a simple configuration that can eliminate vibration of the storage disk exerted onto an optical unit especially in applying the player to automobiles. SOLUTION: In the player, a pressing device assists the storage disk 8 driven around a center rotary shaft 13 by a drive motor 15 to be pressed onto a disk pressing disk 14, the pressing device is held at its reproduction position and acts on any of disk front sides 8c to eliminate the vibration of the storage disk itself and the disk pressing disk has a diameter nearly corresponding to that of the storage disk. The pressing device of the player acts only on a center part where no information exists and is freely rotatable. When the storage disk is pressed at a prescribed position on its labeled surface and configured as a turntable driven by the drive motor, the disk pressing disk engages with the storage disk through friction.
