Stabilised hair care products containing water insoluble organosilicone compounds

A method for stabilising a water-insoluble organosilicone compound in a hair care product. The method comprises combining an anionic detersive surfactant, a water insoluble silicone conditioning agent, an acrylic stabilising agent of formula III or formula IV; where R10 is a member of the group consisting of hydrogen and C1-22 alkyl and n is an integer from 3-4100, and where R11 and R12 are each independently selected from the group defined by R10 and m is an integer from 3-4100, and where a neutralisation step is performed with a member of the group consisting of cosmetically acceptable bases, with water or another aqueous medium.
