ECONOMICAL MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HIGH STRENGTH YELLOW EARTH BLOCKS AND PRODUCTS

PURPOSE: An economical manufacturing method of yellow earth blocks with high strength is provided to shorten production time and prevent transformation of products by vibration pressing and steam curing. Accordingly, the method enables to produce a large quantity of blocks and keep the original form in case the blocks are wet. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method comprises the steps of: sieving yellow earth(water content: 20-25%) to get powders less than 5mm in size; mixing 87-100wt.% of yellow earth, 0-10wt.% of cement, 0-3wt.% of blast furnace slag; forming by vibration press under the pressure of 6-12kgf/cm¬2 and vibration for 5-10sec.; dry-curing for 4hrs. and steam-curing at 80deg.C. The resultant blocks have 80-120kgf/cm¬2 of compression strength in 1day-curing.
