PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the display chroma in a transmissive display of a semitransmissive color liquid crystal display device while maintaining the brightness and contrast in the reflective display. SOLUTION: A reflection region and a transmission region are clearly divided inside a pixel region forming a display unit. Heightening of chroma in the transmission region is attained by making the transmittance of a color filter formed in a position corresponding to the transmission region lower than the transmittance of a color filter formed in a position corresponding to the reflection region. |
